Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market forecasts and global sustainability goals
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in AI ethics, quantum algorithms, and biotech convergence
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with $50M+ commercialization potential
- Present strategic frameworks to C-suite and board stakeholders with data-driven ROI projections
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking and technology forecasting methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of scaling breakthrough technologies from concept to market
- Expertise in at least two of: AI governance, quantum computing, or cleantech commercialization
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies (PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership on technology's societal impact (IEEE, Nature, or equivalent)
- Experience securing federal innovation grants (SBIR, ARPA-E) or venture funding
- Deep familiarity with ISO 20700 standards for technology foresight
