Responsibilities
- Architect and execute strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies targeting 2026 market readiness
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and data scientists in developing prototype solutions
- Identify and evaluate disruptive technologies through market analysis and academic partnerships
- Collaborate with C-suite to align innovation initiatives with long-term business objectives
- Secure and manage R&D budgets for experimental projects with high-growth potential
- Publish thought leadership pieces on future tech trends and their societal impact
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech innovation or R&D leadership, with 5+ years in future-focused roles
- Proven track record of launching products/services targeting 3-5 year horizons
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: AI/ML, quantum computing, biotech, or climate tech
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong network within tech innovation ecosystems (venture capital, academia, Fortune 500 R&D)
- Published author or speaker at major tech conferences (CES, Web Summit, etc.)
- Experience securing $5M+ in R&D funding or grants
