Responsibilities
- Design scalable architectures for emerging technologies (quantum computing, neural interfaces, decentralized systems)
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives targeting 2026 market readiness
- Develop strategic roadmaps aligning technological capabilities with business objectives
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive trends and competitive threats
- Present architectural frameworks to investors and industry stakeholders
- Mentor junior architects in future-proofing methodologies
- Secure patents for proprietary systems and processes
Qualifications
- MS/MEng in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in enterprise architecture or R&D leadership
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, blockchain, biotech, etc.)
- Proven track record of launching future-focused products/services
- Strong analytical modeling and scenario planning capabilities
- Certification in TOGAF or similar architectural framework
- Experience with federal/state tech innovation grants
- Published research in IEEE or ACM journals
