Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum, AI, AR/VR, synthetic biology) to develop 5-year strategic innovation roadmaps
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to prototype and validate next-gen solutions
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and startups for R&D collaboration
- Present futuristic visions to investors and board members to secure funding
- Develop ethical frameworks for responsible deployment of breakthrough technologies
- Mentor internal teams in future-thinking methodologies and scenario planning
- Produce white papers and thought leadership positioning company as 2026 tech pioneer
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with proven track record in emerging tech
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI/ML, advanced robotics, or synthetic biology
- Exceptional scenario planning and forecasting abilities with published futurist work
- Experience securing $1M+ budgets for experimental technology initiatives
- Strong network connections within global tech innovation ecosystems
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist Studies preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating successful commercialization of futuristic concepts
- Certification in Futures Studies or Technology Foresight (e.g., APF, Foresight Practitioner)
