Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026-2030 innovation strategy across emerging tech verticals
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum computing, synthetic biology, and climate adaptation
- Partner with C-suite to align futurism initiatives with business objectives
- Manage $50M+ annual R&D budget and 25-person innovation team
- Identify disruptive market trends and translate them into scalable solutions
- Represent Horizon Labs at global tech summits and policy forums
- Drive ethical AI implementation and sustainable tech standards
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech leadership with 5+ years in futurism or R&D strategy
- Proven track record launching breakthrough products (3+ exits or major launches)
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: AI, quantum, biotech, or climate tech
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist Studies
- Published thought leader with 10+ industry white papers/keynotes
- Experience managing global R&D teams across 3+ continents
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., WFS, Foresight Practitioner)
- Fluency in English with Mandarin or Spanish preferred
