Job Description
We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our 2026 Technology Roadmap at Apex Horizon Innovations. As the Director of 2026 Technology Initiatives, you will define the strategic architecture that bridges our current capabilities with the breakthroughs of the coming decade. This role is pivotal in steering the company towards a future dominated by autonomous systems, advanced generative AI, and quantum-ready infrastructure.
In this high-impact position, you will lead a cross-functional task force of engineers, data scientists, and futurists. You are responsible for forecasting industry trends, validating technical feasibility for long-term projects, and ensuring our product ecosystem remains ahead of the global technological curve.
Key Objectives:
- Define the Strategic Technology Vision for 2026 and translate it into actionable R&D milestones.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., Spatial Computing, Neuro-interfaces) to drive innovation.
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to secure budget and resources for high-risk, high-reward projects.
- Lead the 'Horizon 2026' innovation lab, overseeing Proof of Concept (PoC) development.
- Ensure ethical AI deployment and compliance with future regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the Strategic Technology Roadmap for 2026, identifying key emerging technologies such as AGI, advanced robotics, and spatial computing.
- Oversee the R&D 'Horizon 2026' task force, managing a budget of $15M+ and a team of 20+ senior engineers and data scientists.
- Collaborate with product management to integrate future-proof features into current development cycles.
- Monitor global tech trends to ensure Apex Horizon Innovations remains 18 months ahead of the competition.
- Present complex technical roadmaps to non-technical stakeholders and investors to secure buy-in.
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and research labs focused on next-gen technology.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Technology Strategy, R&D Management, or Product Engineering within a Fortune 500 environment.
- Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
- Deep understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning architectures, and cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business strategy.
- Experience in navigating the ethical and regulatory implications of advanced AI technologies.
