Responsibilities
- Lead cutting-edge research in generative AI, reinforcement learning, and multimodal systems
- Develop and prototype novel algorithms with 10x efficiency improvements over current industry standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy research prototypes into production environments
- Author 2-3 high-impact publications annually at NeurIPS/ICML/ICLR conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional innovation through hackathons and workshops
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants by crafting compelling proposals for NSF and DARPA initiatives
- Contribute to ethical AI frameworks ensuring responsible deployment of autonomous systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field with 5+ years of industry R&D experience
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier AI/ML venues (h-index > 15)
- Mastery of PyTorch/TensorFlow and distributed computing frameworks (Ray, Horovod)
- Expertise in transformer architectures, diffusion models, and causal inference
- Strong background in at least one application domain: healthcare, climate science, or robotics
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical research into deployable solutions
- Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to technical and non-technical stakeholders
