Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive AI ethics frameworks aligned with global regulations (EU AI Act, NIST guidelines)
- Conduct ethical risk assessments for high-stakes AI applications in healthcare, finance, and autonomous systems
- Collaborate with ML engineers to embed explainability, fairness, and bias mitigation techniques
- Develop stakeholder engagement protocols for ethical AI governance across internal teams and external partners
- Lead scenario planning for emerging ethical challenges in generative AI and autonomous decision-making
- Author thought leadership publications and represent the company at global AI ethics forums
- Establish KPIs for ethical AI performance and monitor compliance through continuous audits
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field with specialization in AI ethics
- 5+ years experience in AI governance, responsible AI implementation, or ethics compliance
- Deep expertise in bias detection/quantification techniques and fairness metrics (e.g., disparate impact analysis)
- Proven track record of developing organizational policies for high-risk AI applications
- Strong understanding of ML/AI architectures (transformers, reinforcement learning) and their ethical implications
- Experience with regulatory frameworks (GDPR, EU AI Act, state-level AI legislation)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex ethical concepts for technical and non-technical audiences
