Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI ethics governance frameworks aligned with IEEE 7000 and EU AI Act standards
- Conduct bias audits and fairness assessments for machine learning models using Python/R toolkits
- Collaborate with product teams to embed ethical considerations into AI lifecycle processes
- Lead stakeholder workshops with C-suite executives, regulators, and civil society groups
- Author ethics-by-design documentation and compliance reports for regulatory submissions
- Monitor emerging AI ethics legislation and propose proactive compliance strategies
- Mentor junior engineers on ethical AI development practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Philosophy, Ethics, or related field with 5+ years AI ethics experience
- Proven expertise in fairness/interpretability tools (AIF360, SHAP, LIME)
- Deep understanding of global AI regulations (GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act)
- Published research in AI ethics or responsible technology at top-tier conferences
- Experience with cross-functional ethical risk assessment in regulated industries
- Strong ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Certification in AI governance (e.g., IAPP CIPP/E or IEEE CertAI)
- Portfolio demonstrating ethics-driven AI system implementations
