Responsibilities
- Develop and implement bias detection algorithms for machine learning models
- Author ethics whitepapers and compliance frameworks for AI deployment
- Conduct adversarial testing of autonomous decision systems
- Partner with legal teams to ensure GDPR/CCPA alignment in AI products
- Lead stakeholder workshops on ethical AI adoption strategies
- Monitor emerging regulations and update internal policies accordingly
- Contribute to open-source ethical AI toolkits
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Computer Science, Philosophy, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years researching algorithmic bias or AI governance frameworks
- Expertise in fairness metrics (e.g., disparate impact, equalized odds)
- Proficiency with Python and ML libraries (TensorFlow/PyTorch)
- Published work in top-tier AI ethics journals or conferences
- Experience with regulatory compliance (GDPR, AI Act, NIST RMF)
- Strong background in participatory design methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts for non-technical audiences
