Responsibilities
- Develop ethical governance frameworks for generative AI models deployed in healthcare and autonomous systems
- Lead cross-functional workshops with engineers, ethicists, and policymakers to align technical solutions with societal impact
- Conduct longitudinal studies on AI bias mitigation across diverse demographic datasets
- Author white papers and regulatory recommendations for federal AI policy initiatives
- Mentor a team of 3-5 ethics researchers while publishing findings in top-tier journals
- Partner with quantum computing teams to assess ethical implications of next-gen AI training
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Philosophy, Cognitive Science, or related field with 5+ years of AI ethics experience
- Published research on algorithmic bias or explainable AI in peer-reviewed journals
- Expertise in implementing fairness metrics for large-scale ML models (e.g., IBM AI Fairness 360)
- Experience advising regulatory bodies on AI policy (e.g., NIST AI RMF implementation)
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch for ethical auditing workflows
- Demonstrated success in translating ethical principles into technical constraints
- Strong background in applied ethics frameworks (e.g., utilitarianism, deontology) for autonomous systems
