Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical AI governance frameworks for autonomous decision systems
- Lead cross-functional research teams in bias mitigation and fairness auditing
- Develop industry standards for transparent AI explainability and accountability
- Advocate for ethical AI adoption through executive briefings and public speaking
- Partner with legal and policy teams to shape AI regulatory compliance strategies
- Manage $2M+ research budget and publish peer-reviewed papers
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Philosophy, or related field with 10+ years AI ethics experience
- Proven track record publishing top-tier research in AI fairness or explainability
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF)
- Experience building enterprise AI ethics programs from the ground up
- Strong background in machine learning model development and deployment
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Deep understanding of sociotechnical systems and human-centered design
