Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics frameworks aligned with emerging regulatory landscapes
- Conduct algorithmic bias audits and fairness assessments across ML pipelines
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed ethical guardrails in AI systems
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with policymakers, industry partners, and advocacy groups
- Proactively identify emerging ethical risks in autonomous systems and generative AI
- Design transparency mechanisms for explainable AI (XAI) deployments
- Author governance documentation and compliance protocols for AI deployments
- Mentor cross-functional teams on ethical AI principles and responsible innovation
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, Law, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in AI governance, ethics, or compliance with proven impact
- Deep expertise in fairness, accountability, and transparency (FAT) frameworks
- Experience with regulatory landscapes (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, etc.)
- Strong background in machine learning fundamentals and AI system architectures
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex ethics concepts
- Portfolio demonstrating ethical AI implementations or research contributions
- Certification in AI ethics, data privacy, or governance (e.g., CIPP, CECP)
