As a thought leader in our Silicon Valley headquarters, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives and research labs to develop 10-year technology roadmaps. Your insights will shape product roadmaps, influence policy discussions, and position us as pioneers in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year strategic technology roadmaps for quantum computing, biotech-AI convergence, and sustainable tech ecosystems
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate emerging technologies with enterprise applications
- Establish partnerships with research institutions (MIT, Stanford, ETH Zurich) and venture capital firms
- Author thought leadership publications and present at global tech forums (CES, Web Summit, Davos)
- Mentor junior futurists and develop curriculum for our internal Innovation Academy
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis across 15+ emerging technology domains
- Advise product development teams on quantum-resistant cryptography and ethical AI frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field with 10+ years of strategic tech planning
- Published research in Nature, Science, or IEEE journals on emerging technologies
- Proven track record of commercializing breakthrough innovations (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, or synthetic biology)
- Deep expertise in at least 3 of these domains: quantum algorithms, synthetic biology, climate tech, decentralized AI, or neurotech
- Experience leading global R&D teams with $50M+ budgets
- Proficiency in futures methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning, technology roadmapping)
- Strong network with DARPA, NASA, or EU Horizon Europe innovation programs
- Fluency in Mandarin, Arabic, or Japanese for international stakeholder engagement
