Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026+ technology strategy roadmap incorporating quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech convergence
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year market impact
- Partner with R&D to prototype next-gen solutions in immersive environments (AR/VR/MR)
- Present future technology scenarios to executive stakeholders and board members
- Establish innovation governance frameworks for ethical tech adoption
- Manage $5M+ annual innovation budget with measurable ROI tracking
- Build and lead a specialized futurist research team
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in futurist/innovation roles
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Published thought leadership in emerging tech (IEEE, ACM, or similar)
- Expertise in converging technologies: quantum, AI, blockchain, neurotech
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial solutions
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., from foresight organizations)
- Experience with scenario planning and technology roadmapping methodologies
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
