Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technology vectors (quantum, neurotech, AGI, climate tech) and assess commercial viability for 2026+ markets
- Develop and execute multi-generational technology roadmaps aligned with long-term business objectives
- Lead cross-disciplinary 'Future Councils' comprising engineers, ethicists, and futurists
- Produce forward-looking whitepapers and trend briefings for C-suite and board stakeholders
- Identify and secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions and national labs
- Oversee portfolio of moonshot projects with 5-10 year development horizons
- Represent company at global technology summits and shape industry discourse
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Forecasting, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years experience in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (quantum computing, AGI, synthetic biology)
- Proven track record of commercializing futuristic technologies
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario planning capabilities
- Published thought leader with 50+ citations in tech journals
- Experience with horizon scanning methodologies and trend analysis frameworks
- Fluency in future forecasting tools (e.g., Delphi method, cross-impact matrices)
