- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies with 2026 commercial viability potential
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive technology roadmap aligned with market predictions
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype future-focused solutions
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board members quarterly
- Analyze competitor innovations and patent landscapes to identify first-mover advantages
- Organize internal hackathons focused on solving 2026-centric challenges
- Represent company at global tech summits and futurist conferences
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership role
- Proven track record of forecasting tech trends with documented accuracy
- Expertise in at least three emerging domains: quantum computing, AGI, or neuromorphic systems
- Published thought leadership in tech futurism (whitepapers, patents, or keynotes)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurology
- Experience with scenario planning methodologies and strategic foresight frameworks
