Responsibilities
- Forecast and map technology evolution paths through 2026-2030 horizon scanning
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate futurist insights into actionable R&D priorities
- Develop patent-pending frameworks for emerging tech adoption curves
- Interface with global think tanks and academic institutions to track paradigm shifts
- Author quarterly technology trend briefs for C-suite and board stakeholders
- Mentor junior futurists and curate the company's foresight library
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in strategic foresight roles within tech or research institutions
- Published author in peer-reviewed technology forecasting journals
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AGI, biotech, etc.)
- Proficiency in horizon scanning methodologies and Delphi techniques
- Exceptional storytelling skills to communicate complex futures narratives
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ technology predictions realized within 5-year window
