- Manage $5M+ R&D budgets and coordinate with venture partners for prototype development
- Mentor 15+ engineers and researchers through agile innovation sprints
- Present breakthrough concepts to C-suite executives and industry consortiums
- Secure federal grants and private funding for experimental projects
- Drive patent development and IP protection for proprietary technologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 10+ years tech leadership
- Proven success scaling R&D teams from 10 to 50+ members
- Expertise in emerging tech: generative AI, neuromorphic chips, or synthetic biology
- Track record of securing $10M+ in R&D funding
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE)
- Experience with federal grant applications (SBIR, DARPA)
