Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 3-5 year strategic technology roadmaps for 2026+ innovation horizons
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Architect proof-of-concept projects for next-gen AI, quantum computing, and biotech integrations
- Present visionary frameworks to C-suite executives and venture capital partners
- Establish ethical frameworks for responsible deployment of advanced autonomous systems
- Author thought leadership publications for IEEE and Nature Technology Review
- Mentor junior researchers in futures methodology and scenario planning
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Futurist Studies with 8+ years of R&D leadership
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Deep expertise in scenario planning and technology forecasting frameworks
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, ACM) on future tech implications
- Experience securing $5M+ in innovation grants from DARPA/NASA/NSF
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages
- Exceptional presentation skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Certification in Strategic Foresight from APF or WFS
