Nexus Future Labs is seeking a visionary 2026 Strategic Horizon Lead to drive our long-term vision and ensure we are not just keeping up with the future, but shaping it. As we approach the pivotal year of 2026, we need a leader who can synthesize emerging trends, geopolitical shifts, and technological breakthroughs into a cohesive, actionable strategy.
In this high-impact role, you will act as the bridge between our R&D departments and executive leadership, translating complex future scenarios into concrete business goals. You will define the roadmap that will define our industry for the next decade.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the 2026 Strategic Roadmap, aligning long-term vision with short-term operational goals.
- Conduct deep-dive Horizon Scanning to identify emerging technologies (AI, Quantum Computing, Sustainable Energy) and market shifts.
- Establish a Future Readiness Framework to assess organizational agility and scalability for 2026.
- Oversee cross-functional innovation labs, managing the prototyping of next-gen solutions.
- Present complex future scenarios to the C-Suite and Board of Directors to inform high-level decision-making.
- Develop predictive models to forecast market opportunities and potential risks.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Strategic Planning, Futurism, or Executive Consulting.
- Proven expertise in Horizon Scanning, scenario planning, and trend forecasting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize unstructured data into clear strategic narratives.
- Experience managing innovation pipelines and R&D initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Strategic Studies, or a related field.
