Responsibilities
- Develop and implement horizon-scanning frameworks to identify disruptive technologies and market shifts impacting 2026+ business landscapes
- Lead cross-functional workshops with executive stakeholders to translate future scenarios into actionable strategic initiatives
- Produce evidence-based trend reports and innovation roadmaps with 3-5 year predictive horizons
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype future-facing solutions and validate market readiness
- Design and maintain competitive intelligence systems tracking emerging players and breakthrough innovations
- Represent Horizon Dynamics at global futurist forums and thought leadership summits
- Mentor junior futurists and establish departmental best practices for strategic foresight methodologies
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years in strategy consulting, innovation management, or technology trend analysis
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methods, and horizon scanning techniques
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology, advanced materials)
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., AC/FS, CFIP) or equivalent professional development
- Portfolio demonstrating successful strategic interventions for 2026+ market positioning
- Exceptional data visualization skills with proficiency in trend analysis tools (e.g., Palisade @RISK, Trendalyzer)
- Experience advising C-suite executives on technology disruption and innovation strategy
