Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for 2026-era computational challenges
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Secure $5M+ in research grants and industry partnerships
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Drive innovation in quantum error correction techniques
- Mentor PhD researchers and postdoctoral fellows
- Collaborate with government agencies on national quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in superconducting qubit systems or topological quantum computing
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants
- Published research in quantum machine learning or cryptography
- Experience leading technical teams of 10+ researchers
- Strong familiarity with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
