Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead a cross-functional team of 5-7 quantum physicists and software engineers
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for commercial deployment
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Collaborate with industry partners to define quantum computing standards for 2026
- Publish findings in Nature Physics and top-tier quantum computing journals
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Track record of securing government research grants ($500K+)
- Expertise in quantum machine learning algorithms and NISQ-era hardware
- Experience leading technical teams in agile/scrum environments
- Strong patent portfolio in quantum technologies (3+ granted patents)
