Responsibilities
- Architect and execute quantum-AI research roadmaps aligned with 2026 technological milestones
- Lead a team of 10+ researchers in developing hybrid quantum machine learning frameworks
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum algorithms for next-gen processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at premier conferences (NeurIPS, QIP)
- Secure $5M+ in federal and private research grants
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into patentable commercial applications
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows in quantum-AI methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, AI, or Computational Physics with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science or top-tier AI/quantum journals
- Expertise in quantum machine learning algorithms (VQE, QAOA, quantum neural networks)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-million dollar research initiatives
- Experience securing SBIR grants or equivalent funding mechanisms
