Responsibilities
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum-AI integration for next-gen computing architectures
- Design and implement hybrid quantum-classical neural networks for exponential speedups
- Develop proprietary quantum optimization algorithms for logistics and materials science
- Mentor a multidisciplinary team of quantum physicists, ML engineers, and domain experts
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private quantum consortia
- Author breakthrough publications in Nature/Science journals and industry whitepapers
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-AI accelerator architectures
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Machine Learning (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years experience in quantum algorithm development and quantum machine learning
- Proven track record publishing in top-tier quantum/AI venues (e.g., QIP, NeurIPS)
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane) and AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Demonstrated ability to secure major research funding and lead high-performance teams
- Experience with quantum hardware providers (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ) or major cloud quantum services
