Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap, identifying breakthrough opportunities across AI, biotech, quantum computing, and sustainable energy
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Council' teams comprising engineers, ethicists, and domain experts to prototype next-gen solutions
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions (MIT, Stanford, ETH Zurich) and government innovation labs
- Develop patent portfolios and IP strategies for 2026-era technologies with our legal innovation team
- Present quarterly 'Horizon Briefings' to C-suite and board members, translating complex futures into actionable business strategies
- Manage $15M annual innovation fund allocation to high-potential moonshot projects
- Champion ethical frameworks and societal impact assessments for emerging technologies
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology innovation or strategic foresight with demonstrable impact on market-shifting initiatives
- Advanced degree (PhD/Master's) in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related technical field
- Proven track record of launching products/services with 5+ year market horizons
- Expertise in emerging technology convergence patterns and exponential growth principles
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex futures to diverse stakeholders
- Experience with scenario planning, horizon scanning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Portfolio of published thought leadership or patents in future-facing technologies
- Authorization to work in the US with willingness to travel 20% globally for innovation summits
