Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year innovation roadmaps for emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech)
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping disruptive solutions
- Secure $5M+ annual innovation grants from government/private partners
- Present visionary concepts to C-suite executives and venture capital consortiums
- Curate annual 'Future Forward' symposium with global thought leaders
- Oversee patent strategy for 50+ emerging technology portfolios
- Mentor PhD fellows in cutting-edge applied research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or Futuristics (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years leading breakthrough R&D in Fortune 500 or unicorn startups
- Published research in Nature/Science with 500+ citations
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech verticals (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Proven track record of securing $10M+ in innovation funding
- Keynote speaker at 3+ global tech conferences (CES, Web Summit, etc.)
- Fluency in Mandarin or Arabic for international stakeholder engagement
