Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap, aligning with long-term business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating futuristic technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech integration)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive trends and assess their strategic implications
- Secure and manage R&D budgets for 2026 innovation initiatives
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry pioneers
- Present innovation strategies and technology forecasts to executive leadership and investors
- Mentor talent in emerging technologies and future-proofing methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or innovation management
- Proven track record developing and implementing multi-year technology roadmaps
- Expertise in emerging technologies (quantum computing, generative AI, synthetic biology)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business (PhD preferred)
- Experience securing $5M+ R&D budgets and managing innovation portfolios
- Exceptional strategic communication skills with ability to articulate complex future scenarios
- Published thought leadership on technology forecasting or innovation strategy
- Fluency in agile methodologies and rapid prototyping frameworks
