As a key member of our C-suite advisory team, you'll collaborate with R&D, product, and engineering divisions to incubate breakthrough innovations. You'll represent our voice at global tech summits and publish thought leadership that positions NextGen Labs as the industry's oracle of tomorrow.
Responsibilities
- Scan horizon for emerging technologies (quantum computing, neural interfaces, ambient AI) and assess market readiness
- Develop 5-year strategic innovation roadmap aligned with 2026 technological inflection points
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' to prototype and validate next-gen concepts
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and startups driving 2026 breakthroughs
- Author quarterly trend reports and scenario-planning frameworks for executive leadership
- Represent company at Davos, CES, and other future-focused industry forums
- Mentor R&D teams on integrating speculative technologies into product roadmaps
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Published author or keynote speaker on emerging technologies
- Advanced degree in futurism, systems engineering, or equivalent field
- Portfolio demonstrating successful 2026+ technology predictions
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech verticals (biotech, space tech, AR/VR)
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., WFS, APF) preferred
- Experience with scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Proficiency in futures research tools (e.g., Delphi method, STEEP analysis)
