Responsibilities
- Analyze horizon-scanning data (2024-2026) to identify disruptive technologies and market inflection points
- Develop scenario-based strategic frameworks for board-level decision-making
- Lead cross-functional workshops to embed foresight into product roadmaps
- Author annual 'State of 2026' reports for industry stakeholders and investors
- Manage a portfolio of moonshot innovation projects with $5M+ annual budgets
- Establish partnerships with academic labs and government innovation councils
- Mentor junior futurists using proprietary foresight methodologies
Qualifications
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or technology foresight
- Proven track record of translating future trends into actionable business strategies
- Expertise in at least two emerging domains: AI governance, quantum applications, or climate tech
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., horizon scanning, Delphi methods, backcasting)
- Experience scaling innovation programs within Fortune 500 or high-growth startups
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (preferred) or equivalent demonstrable expertise
