Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis across 15+ emerging technology domains to forecast 2026 market disruptions
- Develop actionable strategic frameworks for product roadmaps aligned with 2026 societal and technological inflection points
- Coordinate with global R&D teams to prototype and validate future-facing concepts (quantum computing, neural interfaces, climate tech)
- Author annual FutureState Reports distributed to Fortune 500 executives and government innovation councils
- Design and facilitate immersive foresight workshops with stakeholders to build organizational foresight muscle
- Establish KPIs and success metrics for 2026 initiatives, measuring impact on market positioning and innovation velocity
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or equivalent strategic foresight certification (e.g., CFIP)
- Minimum 8 years experience in strategic innovation consulting or corporate futurism roles
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercialized products or policy frameworks
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methodology, and technology adoption lifecycle models
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology) and societal implications
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex futures to diverse audiences
- Portfolio of published foresight work or validated impact on organizational strategy
