Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum AI, neurotech, climate engineering)
- Lead cross-functional workshops with Fortune 500 partners to identify 2026 industry disruptors
- Produce annual 'Future State' whitepapers with predictive analytics and scenario modeling
- Represent Nexus at global innovation summits (Davos, Web Summit, CES)
- Mentor junior futurists through our 'Horizon Scanning' incubator program
- Advocate for ethical tech frameworks in policy discussions with congressional tech committees
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or equivalent strategic discipline
- 5+ years in technology strategy consulting or R&D leadership
- Published research on exponential technologies (quantum/AI/energy)
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools (STEEP analysis, Delphi method)
- Experience securing $5M+ innovation grants from NSF/DARPA
- Portfolio demonstrating at least 3 commercialized futuristic concepts
- Security clearance (or eligibility) for classified innovation projects
