Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026-focused technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and organizational goals
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions in AI, quantum computing, and biotech
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year commercial viability
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Drive innovation workshops with R&D partners and academic institutions
- Manage $5M+ R&D budgets for future-focused initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or emerging tech leadership roles
- Proven expertise in at least two of: AI, quantum computing, or sustainable tech
- Published research or patents in futuristic technologies (2018-2023)
- Experience scaling high-impact innovation programs in Fortune 500 environments
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurology
- Exceptional presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Track record of securing multi-million dollar innovation funding
