Responsibilities
- Scan horizon for emerging technologies (quantum computing, neural interfaces, AGI precursors) and assess commercial viability
- Develop 2026 innovation roadmaps aligned with organizational vision and market disruptions
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' to prototype next-gen products and services
- Author thought leadership on societal impacts of technological evolution (regulatory, ethical, economic)
- Advocate for exponential technologies in board presentations and investor forums
- Mentor 'Future Strategists' and build a 2026-focused innovation ecosystem
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation management, or tech R&D leadership
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, biotech, nanotech, quantum)
- Proven track record of incubating breakthrough products with $10M+ revenue impact
- Published futurist or author of technology trend analysis (MIT Sloan, HBR contributor preferred)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Experience building innovation labs in Fortune 500 or unicorn environments
- Certified Futurist (CF) or similar designation strongly preferred
