Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year horizon scanning frameworks for emerging technologies (quantum AI, synthetic biology, climate engineering)
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future scenarios into actionable innovation portfolios
- Produce strategic foresight reports for C-suite and board-level decision-making
- Identify and nurture partnerships with academic institutions and breakthrough startups
- Design ethical governance frameworks for high-impact technologies
- Present future outlooks at global forums (Web Summit, Davos, CES)
- Mentor junior futurists and innovation analysts
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant STEM field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Published thought leadership on emerging technologies (IEEE, Nature Futures)
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep knowledge of 2026-2030 technological convergence points
- Experience with AI-driven foresight tools and data visualization platforms
- Track record of translating future insights into commercial innovations
- Global network of futurists and technologists
