Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap, identifying paradigm-shifting opportunities in AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' teams to prototype and validate disruptive concepts with 18-24 month market impact horizons
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions (MIT, Stanford) and emerging tech startups to accelerate R&D cycles
- Present innovation briefings to executive board and investors, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies
- Monitor global tech disruption signals and geopolitical risk factors affecting 2026 commercialization timelines
- Design and implement corporate innovation frameworks including rapid experimentation protocols and failure-tolerant culture systems
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar innovation budgets with ROI tracking for 2026 market readiness initiatives
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or emerging tech R&D with demonstrated 2026+ vision track record
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Futurism; PhD preferred from top-tier institution
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging technology domains (AI, quantum, biotech, nanotech, or neurotech)
- Proven ability to lead large-scale innovation initiatives with $5M+ budgets and cross-continental teams
- Exceptional strategic communication skills with C-suite/board experience and TED-level public speaking ability
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or major tech publications on future technology trends
- Portfolio of successfully commercialized innovations with measurable market impact (e.g., products/services launched within 3-year vision windows)
- Active membership in World Futures Society or equivalent futurist certification body
