Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for 2026+ innovations in AI, quantum computing, and synthetic biology
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams to prototype breakthrough solutions
- Partner with venture capital to identify and acquire emerging technologies
- Present strategic visions to C-suite executives and industry consortiums
- Secure patents and publish research in top-tier scientific journals
- Mentor junior researchers in future-focused methodologies
- Monitor global tech trends and geopolitical impacts on innovation
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or Biotechnology (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years in R&D leadership at Fortune 500 tech companies
- Proven track record of launching patented innovations
- Expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum algorithms, synthetic biology
- Published research in Nature, Science, or IEEE journals
- Experience with federal grant writing (NIH, DARPA, NSF)
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages
