Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional research teams in developing 2026-ready AI architectures for autonomous decision-making systems
- Design and implement ethical AI governance frameworks ensuring compliance with emerging global regulations
- Secure $5M+ in federal grants and private partnerships for quantum-AI integration projects
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in top-tier AI/quantum computing journals
- Mentor PhD researchers and develop patent portfolios for next-gen AI technologies
- Collaborate with product teams to translate research into commercial applications by 2026
- Represent company at global AI summits and policy discussions shaping post-2025 regulations
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Computing, or related field with 8+ years AI research experience
- Proven track record of leading multi-million dollar research initiatives with 2026+ implementation timelines
- Expertise in quantum machine learning, neural-symbolic AI, and autonomous system architectures
- Published work in Nature/Science AI journals or equivalent top-tier publications
- Deep understanding of ethical AI frameworks and global regulatory landscapes
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) and managing R&D budgets >$3M
- Strong background in mentoring research teams and patent development processes
