Responsibilities
- System Monitoring: Continuously monitor server health, network traffic, and application performance to ensure 99.9% uptime during weekend shifts.
- Ticket Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues reported by enterprise clients, escalating critical problems to the on-call team when necessary.
- Security Compliance: Execute routine security patches, firewall updates, and access control reviews to safeguard company assets.
- Hardware Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance on workstations, printers, and peripherals to minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of all incidents, resolutions, and system changes in our ticketing system (ServiceNow/Jira).
- Collaboration: Conduct morning handovers with the primary support team to ensure seamless transition of ongoing issues.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in technical support, system administration, or help desk roles.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) and be on-call for emergencies.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, TCP/IP networking, and VPN technologies.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Tools: Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and remote monitoring software.
