Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) during weekend maintenance windows to minimize downtime.
- Implement and monitor automated incident response protocols to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Conduct deep-dive post-mortem analyses to identify root causes of system failures and implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate with the core engineering team to design resilient, scalable microservices architecture.
- Automate CI/CD pipelines to reduce deployment friction and increase release velocity.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the weekend support rotation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Backend Engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in Linux, Python, Go, or Java.
- Deep understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) is required.
- Must be available to work a full-time rotating weekend shift schedule.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote-first environment.
