As part of our weekend operations team, you will ensure the stability and scalability of our core financial platforms. This is a high-impact role for a developer who wants to reduce their work week without sacrificing career growth.
Responsibilities
- System Architecture: Design and implement robust, scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and Python.
- Critical Maintenance: Oversee weekend system maintenance, security patches, and database optimizations to minimize downtime.
- Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize application performance, ensuring low latency for weekend peak traffic.
- Collaboration: Partner with the Monday-Thursday team to ensure seamless handoffs and feature integration.
- Debugging: Rapidly troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues during weekend deployments.
- Code Review: Maintain high code quality standards through rigorous peer reviews and technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, specifically in backend development.
- Technologies: Proficiency in Node.js, Python, AWS, and SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL/MongoDB).
- Schedule Availability: Must be available to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday weekly.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Problem Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
