Responsibilities
- Lead Weekend Maintenance: Oversee and execute critical system maintenance, patching, and deployment tasks every Saturday and Sunday.
- System Monitoring: Monitor application performance, server health, and database integrity during the weekend window to ensure zero downtime.
- Incident Response: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues escalated from the primary support team during the weekend shift.
- Code Optimization: Review and refactor legacy code during quiet periods to improve system efficiency and scalability.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical logs and documentation for all weekend operations and deployment activities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with the primary team lead to ensure smooth handover of tasks on Monday mornings.
Qualifications
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, specifically including weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in backend development and system administration.
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in Node.js, Python, or Java, along with experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
