Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain server infrastructure, including Linux and Windows environments, ensuring 99.9% uptime during night shifts.
- Execute and monitor automated backup processes and perform data integrity checks to prevent loss.
- Diagnose and resolve complex system errors and network connectivity issues with minimal supervision.
- Implement security patches and updates to safeguard company assets during off-peak hours.
- Conduct routine performance tuning and resource allocation analysis for the night shift workload.
- Document all system changes and incident reports in the centralized knowledge base.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to ensure seamless transition of operational status.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in System Administration or Network Engineering.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation tasks.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high productivity levels during night hours.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, RHCE, or CCNP) are highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and documentation.
