Job Description
The Future is Here. Are You Building It?
Nexus Horizon Labs is at the forefront of the 2026 technological renaissance. We are seeking a visionary AI Agentic Engineer to architect the next generation of autonomous intelligent systems. In this role, you won't just write code; you will shape the fabric of how machines think, act, and collaborate with humans.
As we pioneer the Agentic AI revolution, you will be responsible for developing self-directed agents capable of complex reasoning, multi-step planning, and autonomous execution in dynamic environments. Join us in defining the standards for the future of work and technology.
Why Join Us?
- Work with state-of-the-art LLMs and Agentic frameworks.
- Shape the roadmap for autonomous software engineering.
- Competitive equity package and 401k matching.
- Remote-first culture with occasional hubs in SF & NYC.
Responsibilities
- Architect Agentic Workflows: Design and implement robust architectures for autonomous AI agents using LangChain, AutoGen, and custom frameworks.
- Model Orchestration: Integrate and fine-tune large language models (GPT-4, Claude, Llama 3) to enable context-aware decision-making.
- Self-Healing Systems: Build systems that can diagnose, repair, and optimize their own code and infrastructure in real-time.
- Prompt Engineering & RAG: Develop advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines to ensure data accuracy and reduce hallucinations.
- Collaboration Protocols: Create protocols for multi-agent collaboration where agents can negotiate, delegate, and execute complex tasks.
- Security & Compliance: Implement guardrails and safety measures to ensure AI agents operate within ethical and security boundaries.
- Prototype Rapidly: Build and ship proof-of-concepts that demonstrate the potential of 2026 AI capabilities to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, with at least 2 years specifically in AI/ML or Agentic systems.
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Frameworks: Deep understanding of frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGPT, or Microsoft Semantic Kernel.
- Mathematics: Strong grasp of linear algebra, calculus, and probability theory.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional ability to decompose complex problems into solvable sub-problems for AI agents.
- Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
- Education: BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or a related field.
