Role Overview
As the Weekend Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall supervision of our Detroit facility during critical weekend hours. You will ensure that all operational targets are met while maintaining a safe and productive environment for all staff.
Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Direct and oversee all warehouse operations during the weekend shift to ensure timely processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Team Management: Mentor and supervise a diverse team of warehouse associates, conducting shift briefings and performance reviews.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and company policies to prevent accidents and ensure a secure workplace.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, oversee stock accuracy, and coordinate with the logistics team to resolve discrepancies immediately.
- Process Optimization: Identify workflow inefficiencies during the weekend shift and implement corrective actions to improve productivity.
- Reporting: Generate and submit shift reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational issues.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Leadership: Proven track record of supervising teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Forklift certification is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and basic computer skills.
