Responsibilities
- Plan and lead weekend recreational activities including fitness classes, arts & crafts, and community events
- Ensure participant safety and provide excellent customer service during weekend shifts
- Maintain facility cleanliness and equipment inventory for weekend operations
- Assist with on-site registration and documentation of weekend program attendance
- Collaborate with team to develop weekend-specific programming ideas
- Support special weekend community initiatives and outreach events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in recreation or related field preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service, hospitality, or recreation setting
- Availability to work flexible weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday, 6am-2pm or 10am-6pm)
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage diverse age groups
- Basic knowledge of recreational programming and activity facilitation
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Long Beach locations
