As a Weekend Medical Assistant, you'll be integral to our patient care team, working Saturdays and Sundays in a fast-paced setting with no overnight shifts. Our weekend team enjoys a collaborative culture with flexible scheduling options, including rotating weekends or consistent Saturday/Sunday shifts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Administer medications and perform vital sign assessments
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient education materials and appointment scheduling
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and medical supply inventory
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure seamless patient flow
- Handle insurance verification and billing documentation
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or experience with EMR software)
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient volumes and schedules
- Background check and drug screen required
