Role Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated engineer to maintain and enhance our core software platforms. You will bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring our weekend deployments run smoothly while collaborating with a world-class technical team.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust software applications specifically for weekend support systems.
- Debug and resolve production incidents occurring during off-peak hours with minimal supervision.
- Perform code reviews and refactor legacy code to improve performance and security.
- Collaborate with the central engineering team to align weekend goals with quarterly business objectives.
- Participate in technical planning, architecture reviews, and agile sprint ceremonies.
- Document technical processes and ensure comprehensive knowledge transfer for on-call rotation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Experience working in a shift-based, weekend, or rotating schedule is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of database management systems (SQL/NoSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
