We're seeking a visionary Senior Futurist to architect the next wave of human-machine integration and sustainable innovation. As a key architect of our 10-year roadmap, you'll translate emerging technologies into market-ready paradigms while leading cross-disciplinary teams in prototyping quantum-adjacent solutions. This role demands strategic foresight combined with hands-on innovation leadership in our state-of-the-art Embarcadero District R&D hub.
Responsibilities
- Develop and operationalize 2026-2030 technology roadmaps across quantum computing, neural interfaces, and climate-tech domains
- Lead innovation sprints with MIT Media Lab and Stanford AI partnerships to prototype next-gen human augmentation systems
- Translate scientific breakthroughs into commercially viable IP portfolios with Fortune 500 implementation partners
- Guide policy frameworks for ethical AI deployment and digital sovereignty standards
- Direct cross-functional teams in building scalable innovation frameworks for emerging markets
- Present strategic futures to C-suite and government stakeholders at Davos-level forums
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic innovation with 5+ years in foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Proven track record launching quantum-adjacent products with $50M+ ARR impact
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Deep expertise in quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, or synthetic biology
- Published thought leadership in Nature Futures or MIT Technology Review
- Experience advising UN/WEF technology task forces on ethical deployment frameworks
- Fluency in at least two programming languages (Python/Go preferred)
